The screens that we interface with are growing in number and complexity at an exponential rate, and this creates the challenge of offering more but keeping it simple. Great design should not only engage us each time we move from screen to screen and device to device by looking nice but should also provide a singular experience or story across the whole experience.
We are building the foundations for how these various devices will connect us and affect our lives. Design for any integrated platform requires a multi disciplined approach in creating user experiences (UX) which are useful, usable, desirable, accessible, findable and credible. UX obviously is a key part of any application. Once we get this right then we add in the cool transitions and make it look pretty. The experiences we are creating now will define the future of multiplatform technologies.
